The Committee decided their old website needed a refresh and so Mockett Media came up with a new design and extra features. The site is managed via WordPress, making it fast and flexible for various members of the Committee to update. The new site aims to publicise the club to potential new members who are not already using Flickr, where most of the club activities happen on a regular basis.

The new site includes a section for members’ portfolios and downloading useful information and help sheets.

Caroline of Mockett Media has performed wonders in designing and implementing our new web site, giving a clean, up to date look that matches the way the club has developed since the original site was designed. Caroline held our hand and guided us through the minefield of what would and wouldn’t work and dealt with requests (some of which were outlandish) from the photography club’s committee with a positive and supportive approach. She has also managed the transfer of hosting the site so that it is more within our control.

The result is a site that provides clear information about the club and its activities for those wanting to join, as well as letting club members manage their own portfolios displayed on the site, a facility that we all appreciate. He is writing an interactive book in 20 weeks, on the future of Human Rights. The site is built with the very flexible WordPress content management system which enables pages and updates to be published at the press of a button.

Caroline has made it possible for me to learn to swim in the web and not just timidly navigate it.  Since beginning to work with her, I have launched my own web site (conorgearty.com) which many students and others visit, and this Autumn Caroline’s expertise has given me the confidence to begin to write a book on the web, complete with videos, comment-sections and much else besides: therightsfuture.com.  Caroline makes sense of the web – she is my invaluable interpreter of ‘web-speak’.  And she never loses sight of what I am trying to achieve, dedicating herself to making my ideas work in this new medium.  I would long since have drowned without her. Mr Lyall is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon who operates in Essex and London private hospitals as well as Broomfield NHS hospital.

He also works as an expert witness in insurance claims, and part of the site is targeted at people who might wish to engage him in such circumstances.

It was written in the new HTML5 standard, using some of the latest CSS3 techniques for styling. This sort of audience is likely to be using the latest browsers which are capable of rendering the site to best advantage.

It was great working with them as they knew the sort of thing they wanted, which gave Mockett Media the opportunity to present them with designs which were  in keeping with their branding goals.
This was achieved on a tight budget and to a tight timescale.

Caroline has constructed a well co-ordinated, fair priced, and professional web-site for our local courier business based in Chelmsford, Essex. she has shown excellent consideration to detail when setting out the web-site for maximum impact.
